India – Mysore

This Indian arabica from the Mysore region has a colorful, romantic history. In the17th century a Muslim pilgrim smuggled a handful of seeds out of Yemen. From here, coffee cultivation spread throughout Asia and the Americas. Owing to their northern tropical latitude and the tempering influence of the Arabian Ocean, the fertile volcanic slopes supply near-ideal coffee-growing conditions.
