Papua New Guinea – Waka Jawaka

Our Waka Jawaka PNG coffee is grown and processed by small farmers belonging to the Yha Hauka Kopi or YHK cooperative based in Morobe province, in eastern PNG. In more remote parts of the region, where no roads exist, coffee is carried for up to two days on foot to the nearest collection point. Using improved cultivation practices and Organic ‐ Fair Trade certification to gain fair market prices, the YHK coop now provides vital health and education services to the community.
